The New Commode

Yay! Our new bathroom is done... with relatively little drama. Although we had to go 3 days without a toilet, it was all worth it in the end. Here are the before and after pics - notice how disgusting the old floor was. It was original to the house, circa 1929.
This is the new tile! Nice and clean!

Here is a pic of the tile once we installed the sink and toilet. Only took us two tries to set the toilet. Not bad for amateurs!

An example of how gross the old floor was...Hus set the new tiles right on top of the old, so demo was minimal.

We choose to go with another black and white design to preserve the retro feel of the bathroom, and also because the walls still have original tile.

I've never been so happy to have a new toilet! It is so much more efficient than the old one, doesn't run constantly, and actually flushes when you want it to. What a luxury :))))
