Halloween was a week long holiday for us this year. Adam is old enough to understand what it's all about, and even picked out his own costume. He told me that he wanted to be a baseball player a couple months ago!
Last Sunday was our neighborhood parade and party, called the Creepy Crawl. The pic above is us painting a pumpkin post-parade. Adam loved the painting ... thankfully it was washable paint.
Below is Meredith as "The Littlest Mermaid" with our neighbor Caroline. Her seashell headband was short lived.

I'm trying to get Adam to smile at the camera here, but he was so engrossed in the party that he would just hold his smile and say, cheese... while keeping his eyes glued to the action.

These are a little out of order (as usual) but here is the little slugger on Halloween night, as he and Hus were departing for trick or treating.

A group pic of all the neighborhood kids ... Adam and Mere are lower left if you can make them out!

Adam was so excited to go trick or treating, he was trying to walk out the door for hours. We kept telling him, "just as soon as it gets dark." He couldn't wait! Meredith the Mermaid didn't make an appearance on Halloween night thought ... it was too cold out and she was too sleepy. So she helped me pass out candy for awhile.

Adam and Hus departing for the big event! It was a big success for Adam's first actual experience. He apparently ate out of his bag the entire time, which ended up being his dinner. I guess it's okay for once a year :)

No kidding ... Adam told me this morning that he wants to be Buzz Lightyear for Halloween next time - ha! (He's never seen Toy Story) I wonder how many different things he will come up with in a year!

Love the post. Your comments remind me of Nolan trick or treating last year and eating out of his bag along the way. It will be so much fun next year with the two of them. Love the costume ideas.
