Spring Break

We just got back yesterday from our trip to Siesta Key, FL. What a fun time! We got some much needed sun, relaxation and quality time with friends.
Since it was Adam's first time on a plane, I was nervous about it. He was on antibiotics for sinusitis and had a major runny nose, but despite all odds, he was great. Everyone on the plane, going both ways, commented on what a great baby he is! A little squirmy but all in all, a positive experience.

While in FL, we went to two spring training baseball games. Hus and I are both huge fans, so we went out of our way to see each of our teams play. Here we are in Clearwater at the Phillies game. It was SOOO hot. We only stayed in our seats for a couple innings because it was just too hot to sit.

We stayed in Siesta Key with Hus' cousin Chad, his wife Colleen, and their adorable 3 year old daughter, Georgia. Here is Hus and Chad together. Can you tell that they tan a LOT better than we do????
Here are Col and Georgia by the pool. Georgia is such a good little swimmer. She entertained herself all day by swimming around and making new friends.
The locals there have Dick Vitale (a world famous college basketball personality/analyst for you non-sports fans) as a neighbor. I guess it is well known that he loves this breakfast cafe, The Broken Egg, and eats there often. We went there in hopes of catching a glimpse, and there he was! So many other people were clamoring for autographs, but Colleen still got Georgia and her Care Bear to pose!

How cute is this one! Adam is already a baseball fan! Must be all the games he heard while in utero ... ha ha.

Adam and Georgia chillin in the double stroller, which was a god send! It gave the kids some nice shade and lulled them to sleep a couple times. Must have been the nice ocean breeze while we took them on walks on the beach.

This beach was beautiful ... white, powdery sand that didn't get hot and burn your feet. Just gorgeous.
Colleen's parents, Dan and Mary Lynn, were also down there and were so wonderful to babysit at nights while we got to go out. We loved the freedom and I think they truly enjoyed spending time with Georgia and Adam. It worked out great!
We had such a great time on our vaca! Thanks to the O'Brien family for the hospitality and generosity!
